At the special City Council meeting last night, Council unanimously approved staff’s recommendation to move ahead swiftly with Option B (a centered layout) for the shortening and re-striping project to reduce the Santa Monica Airport runway from 5000′ to 3500′.  This option was the one overwhelmingly favored in public input on the matter.  In addition Council found that
