Join us for a WALK around the perimeter of Santa Monica Airport

Airport2Park will join with Los Angeles Walks who will be sponsoring a walk around the perimeter of the Santa Monica Airport this Saturday, August 6th, 2016, at 10am beginning in Clover Park.
This will be a moderate 3.5 mile walk around the perimeter of the Santa Monica Airport where we can learn about issues and impacts relating to the airport, experience pedestrian access issues, see progress on the new 12 acre Airport Park Expansion and to envision a future grand park at that location.
Michael Brodsky, a Professor at Loyola Marymount University and a Board Member of the Santa Monica Airport2Park Foundation will be the Walk Ambassador for this walk around the entirety of Santa Monica Airport in order to see a part of Santa Monica that most people rarely see and even fewer pedestrians actually get to walk.
We will walk the perimeter of Santa Monica Airport (SMO) to see and learn about the current issues and community impacts relating to this facility and to hear about potential creative new proposals to transform and repurpose this property into a future grand park that will be open and accessible to all.
Come and show your support for Airport2Park and for Los Angeles Walks!
